The E531 hand taps from Dormer's extensive threading range are for producing British Standard Whitworth threads. They have a bright finish to prevent work piece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the tool, so producing a cleaner, more accurate thread, are manufactured from High Speed steel and conform to the International Standards Organization. They are available in three different chamfers of a taper (No 1), a plug or second (No 2) and a bottom tap (No 3), or a set of all three. The straight flute design makes these taps great for both blind and through holes and their overall versatility means they can be used to thread many materials including aluminium, stainless steel and steels.
